Sachin

This would be my debut in the world of Blogs....Since there is no major topic to start the discussion, i am of the opinion to start with something very basic.

For today will throw some light on the meaning of my name: SACHIN

The literal translation of the word in Sanskrit means:  'Essence', 'Existence', 'Pure'. If the word is broken into two parts, it would imply 'satt' + 'chinnha' which means 'True Symbol'.

Interestingly, the name also bears its origin from Latin-America, where it means 'Precious'

As per the Hindu Mythology the name is derived from the name 'Shachindra'. Shachindra is a name given to Hindu mythological god Indra which means Shachi's Indra. Shachi was one of the wives of Indra. It is also one of the other name of Hindu god Shiva. Sachin also means The One Who Is Known By His Good Deeds.

As per the American Sign Language standards, the finger-spell for the name is:

The name has its bearing under the Kumbha Rashi (Aquarian)

In a totally different line of thought, there is a place in Gujarat around 274 kms from Mumbai is a place by the same name 'Sachin', also there is a town in the North of France by the name Sachin, Pas-de-Calais, Sachin lies in the valley of the Clarence river
